I Fratelli knows its purpose; to help the professionals of the Left Bank's commercial district to eat well without having to worry about the size of the bill. They also get a rather good looking two-storey space as part of the deal. Sometimes more of a lounge bar than restaurant, I Fratelli dons well-lit sober yet in places sumptuous furnishings, like the comfy red banquettes upstairs on the mezzanine. The traditional and ever-changing Italian menu is the real deal – ingredients like Bra sausage are imported directly from Italy’s top producers. Come ten o’clock a DJ starts playing tunes and the I Fratelli vibe turns up a notch or three. Open seven days a week.
