Sprawled over the busy pavement of the Rue des Archives a stone's throw from the Bazar de l'Hôtel de Ville, this attractive eatery makes for a decent pit stop in the Marais. Don't come expecting much in the way of originality: from its broad terrace populated by fast-talking locals to its menu of quintessential French bistro dishes, La Comète conforms perfectly to the stereotype of the cosy Parisian brasserie. The prices are correspondingly average: €13.50–€15.50 for a set menu, €2 for an espresso, €7.70 for a pint of Kronenbourg.
