La Folle Avoine restaurant in Paris between the Musee d'Orsay and the beautiful Rodin Museum -- an itinerary suggests itself -- is the first effort of its young proprietors and it is a stunning success. The luxurious dining room in tones of pale gray and deep purple, dark wood parquet and fresh foliage with a photo of Audrey Hepburn tells you exactly what this fine restaurant is aiming for: style and excellence. The ingredients are fresh, seasonal and brilliantly-sourced and the menu offers both traditional and innovative dishes, like grilled cuttlefish, seabass fillet in argan oil with confit citron, or seared fillet of beef with shallots confit in port. The menu may change seasonally, but the thoughtful, professional service does not.
