Opened by the team behind bar Le Fumoir, La Gazzetta has a similarly moody feel, with dim lighting, a long zinc bar and retro decor. Chef Petter Nilssen is Swedish, but made his name in the south of France, and his food shows a Scandinavian influence in dishes such as bonito in a sweet-salty marinade with caraway, borage leaves, radish and pomelo, or new potatoes from the island of Noirmoutier off the Atlantic coast with seaweed butter and dill. The €38 menu is a good bet, with five courses and not too many decisions to make.
