La Mere Agitee restaurant in Paris near the Boulevard Montparnasse is a cult phenomenon, a 'bistrot non-conformiste' with a gregarious patronne, poetry and choral events, and a no-choice menu of traditional French cuisine. Valerie Delahay welcomes you to her creatively disordered restaurant plastered with postcards from customers, posters, and photos. As for the menu, there isn't one, just a blackboard with a single choice of starter, main or dessert according to the market and humour of the chef. That said, evrything is of the highest quality, winning fans who adore the place and return again and agian. The pig's head with red cabbage is alleged to be the best in the world, since 1995.
