L’Aeroclub de France restaurant in Paris, located between the Etoile and Trocadero, is a fabulous visit to another era when pilots were visionaries and the skies were new. L’Aeroclub, the first such society in the world, is set in a 19th century mansion of great style where aeronauts still gather – indeed, the portraits and artefacts of the historic age of the flight are everywhere. The restaurant is a modern space, flight-themed in keeping with its superb location, with sleek furnishings, smart table settings and design-led lighting. The menu is also in keeping with the global theme, as chef Gaby Martinon takes his inspiration from the far corners of the world in dishes like chicken curry with pineapple and madras rice. A wonderful terrace beckons in warm weather.
