Le Jardinier restaurant in Paris a short stroll from the grand boulevards is a stunning example of gloriously grand style of a type Parisians know as ‘Haussmannienne’ in reference to the bold genius who created the Paris we know today. The dining room is a great space flooded with sunlight,and decorated with moulding, columns, mirrors, works of art, flowers and candles. The effect is both impressive and very romantic. Recently chef Stephane Fumaz has taken command of the kitchen, the first of his own, producing dishes both classic and modern, in dishes like breast of duck grilled with coriander accompanied by a witty serving of macaroni cheese.
