Le Press Café restaurant in Paris brings you to the historic press district of the capital, and the restaurant’s opening hours – from 7 am to 2 am -- make it a popular stop for journalists still. The décor is modern bistro, with an ever-changing array of artworks and photography, and the mood is chilled. There’s free wifi, live sport on the screen and some rare rums to taste, but all these are secondary to the excellent food. The frequently-changing menu follows the seasons and honours traditional French brasserie cooking in dishes like duck confit with sautéed potatoes, or entrecote with béarnaise. The breakfast dishes rate highly as do the tapas, offered from 5:30 pm. Live music and Thursdays and DJs get the place lit up.
