The bubbles alluded to in Point Bulles’ name refer not to the atmosphere or personalities of the staff, convivial as both might be, but of course instead to champagne.
For it is indeed the bubbly that Point Bulles prides itself on above all else, though the menu of modern Lebanese cuisine – from generously portioned main meals to tantalising tapas dishes – is also worth celebrating.
Though it’s unashamed of having created a very sleek, cool environment, Karim Haidar’s restaurant achieves that most difficult of balances between trendy and welcoming, with happy hours on champagne cocktails between 5 and 8 on weekdays certainly helping the conversation flow.
