L'illustre Boutique (CLOSED)

If illustration is everywhere in magazines, video games, websites and books, only a very few galleries offer them to buy as artworks – and the pieces are usually by well-known artists, and usually very expensive. Instead, Marguerite Villotte's L’illustre Boutique shows inspired drawings by promising young talents at affordable prices. Her pretty little shop in the adorable Passage du Grand Cerf stocks a selection of works printed in runs of a maximum of 50, priced from €20-€60.

You could pick up colourful pop art posters by Séverin Millet, surf-inspired drawings by Hélène Druvert, transport posters by Julien Billaudeau or woman/bird inventions by Marie Leghima. You’ll also find a treasure trove of gifts from €3 to €20: birthday cards by Season Paper, swallow-printed gift wrap by Fifi Mandirac, paper lamps in shape of little yellow and pink houses by LN La Chouette, notebooks and so on. It's a gold mine of paper products that will delight children and adults.
