Need to rent an outfit for a retro fifties party? Looking to splurge on a pair of aviator sunglasses or a ‘bibi’ hat? Then head to Mamie. Don’t be fooled by its tiny storefront decked out in pastel colours: inside, the shop has three levels, each filled with treasures from the 30s to the 60s – hats, jewellery, glasses, handbags, miniskirts, military jackets and polkadot dresses. There’s also good news for foot fetishists, with the basement entirely devoted to shoes. Everything here has been unearthed by the shop’s colourful owner, Yannick, in the course of his travels – some pieces even come from what is known as ‘dead stock’, old items that have never been worn, a real bonus for fans of vintage. Even renowned designers regularly come through the door at Mamie, which might be why it’s difficult to find a dress for less than €60 – but if your wallet and resistance to dust can take it, you’ll enjoy this one.

i disagree with the review on this place. it's super tight, messy, quite dirty. and when i asked for a bibi' s hat ..the lady running the store didn't know what that meant. i've visited a trillion vintage stores between new york, paris and milan. and this is by far the worst. their neighbor Mamie Blue is better..but still i think they're the same owners and it shows.
