La Fourmi is retro-industrial at its best. This is an old bistro that has been converted for contemporary tastes, with picture windows giving natural light to the spacious, sand-coloured interior; prime seats are on the podiums at the back. The classic zinc bar counter is crowned by industrial lights, the ornately carved back bar featuring the occasional titular ant. Cool music policy and clientele, and a good place to pick up flyers to see what’s on in Paris.
