Despite a staff-to-diner ratio near that of a haute cuisine purveyor, and a sumptuous high-ceilinged dining room, the prix fixe at Chez Jean remains good value. Try delicious fine yellow Chinese-style ravioli stuffed with crab, then slow-cooked farmhouse pork with a chutney of apricots, preserved lemons and sage. Cherries soaked in eau de vie make for a fine dessert.
