Guests at the luxuriously decorated L’Hôtel are more likely to be models and film stars than the starving writers who frequented the place during Oscar Wilde’s final days. Under Jacques Garcia’s careful restoration, each room has its own special theme: Mistinguett’s chambre retains its art deco mirror bed, and Oscar’s deathbed room has, appropriately, been decorated with green peacock murals. Make sure you don’t miss the cellar swimming pool and fumoir.
