Behind this unassuming façade is the place where the artistic royalty of Montparnasse’s heyday – Man Ray, Marcel Duchamp, Louis Aragon – once lived. The Istria has been modernised since then, but it still has lots of charm with 26 simply furnished rooms, a cosy cellar breakfast room and comfortable living area.
