Musée Bourdelle

16-18 rue Antoine-Bourdelle, 15th

The sculptor Antoine Bourdelle, pupil of Rodin, produced monumental works like the Modernist relief friezes seen at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées. Set around a small garden, the museum includes his apartment and studios. A 1950s extension tracks the evolution of Bourdelle’s equestrian monument to General Alvear in Buenos Aires, and his masterful Hercules the Archer. A new wing houses bronzes.
