La Taverne, a spot for people who just can’t go home before daylight, has four drinking areas: a zinc bar, a sort of Napoleonic campaign tent, a trendily lit ambient area, and a dreadful 1980s disco. The 100 or so brews include the best of Belgium, but it’s the French beers that really set it apart. Don’t miss the house special – L’Epi, brewed in three different versions: Blond (barley), Blanc (oats) and Noir (buckwheat).
