Place de la Bastille
Nothing remains of the prison that, on 14 July 1789, was stormed by the forces of the plebeian revolt. It remains the eternal symbol of the Revolution, fêted with a street ball on 13 July. The Colonne de Juillet in the middle is a monument to Parisians who fell in the revolutions of July 1830 and 1848.
