Le Reminet

3 rue des Grands-Degrés, 5th

This has long been a favourite Left Bank bistro, serving a splash-out €50 tasting menu, and an absolute bargain €15 lunch menu three days in the week – Le Reminet is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Start off with crisp fried filo parcels of black pudding, or ravioli of whole gambas in a light dough, bathed in coconut milk. Main courses include a perfectly timed fillet of beef with a shallot purée, and tender scallops on well-sauced tagliatelle.

I ate dinner there on Nov. 11th.Definitely new owners and food quite good. Perhaps not up to previous standard. I am eager to hear how the restaurant does over time. Will it continue to be as good as it once was? Posted on Nov 26 2006 22:51

The Notre Dame was a beautiful sight to behold, as pictureaske as your might imagine. The shops outside was what made it memorable, tho. Just across the bridge and into the market streets reveals a whole other side of parias. I personally ate a gyros/donnar that was coved with fries on top. By far the best tasting gyros/donnar in Europe that I have ever tasted. I recommend paris to every traveller for no other reason that it will change your view of the world. Ohhh, and visit the market, building you can see on the internet, the market life you have to experience yourself. Posted on Nov 06 2006 15:00

Just to let you know that I ate at this restaurant last Monday, 31st October. This was the last day of the present owners - so no more gluten free food awareness. New owners were due to take over 2nd November 2006. Posted on Nov 03 2006 19:11
