Parc Monceau
Surrounded by grand hôtels particuliers and elegant Haussmannian apartments, Parc Monceau is a favourite with well-dressed children and their nannies. It was laid out in the late 18th century for the Duc de Chartres in the then fashionable English style, with an oval lake, spacious lawns, an Egyptian pyramid, a Corinthian colonnade, a Venetian bridge and sarcophagi.
