Its sheer glamour would be enough to recommend this restaurant, Alain Ducasse’s loftiest Paris undertaking. The dining room has a new clementine-and-white colour scheme; the ceiling drips with 10,000 crystals. An amuse-bouche of a langoustine in lemon cream with a dod of Iranian caviar starts a meal beautifully; try Breton lobster in apple, quince and spiced wine, and end with the rum baba à Monte-Carlo, with the finest rums for dousing.
