Since Jacques Lacipière opened this relaxed bistro in 1990, it’s been one of the best deals in the 7th, an excellent updater of French classics. Start with a tasty chaud-froid combination of raw marinated sardines between tiny spring leeks; then go for richly braised beef cheek in dark red-wine sauce, cleverly offset by the tart flavours of stewed rhubarb.

7 years of living within a stone's throw of this restaurant and always avoided it after two equally terrible meals there.
poor service, average food. tables all crammed together and they present you with the bill during the main course to make sure you are out before the second sitting. Posted on Aug 08 2007 12:10
