Time Out Penang is looking for a brilliant Sales and Marketing Coordinator to join our team. You will be super-organised, an excellent communicator and a real people-person. You will understand why Time Out Penang is a great new resource for locals and tourists alike - and be able to convey that brand and our audience to potential advertisers.
You will be passionate about Penang’s many attractions and outlets and be familiar with utilising multimedia and exploiting social media.
You will be expected to work collaboratively with the existing members of the Time Out team in Penang, in order to continue relationships with existing clients - and to think creatively to forge new links with potential clients. You will have excellent written and spoken English and a professional but friendly telephone manner. You will have a passion for meeting new people but also be able to knuckle down and do paperwork when required. Since we are working on expanding the Time Out Penang website, you should be familiar with using digital media.
Previous experience in Sales is not necessary, but a willingness to learn is a must! We are a small and friendly team, and as long as you are a team-player, who likes the fact that no two days will be the same, you'll fit right in! Our office is ideally located behind Gurney Paragon mall.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Schedule meetings and follow-up on potential sales for artwork and confirmation.
- Liaise with Time Out team in Kuala Lumpur for admin and expenses.
- Assist with weekly and monthly business reports.
- Assist with sales and ensure website is up-to-date with clients' events and promos.
- Be open to attending networking events out of standard office hours.
