Author Dr Ong Jin Teong has come a long way to preserve some of the long forgotten recipes of Penang's cultural past. His determination inspired the launch of his culinary biography, Penang Heritage Food - a book on classic Penang recipes and the cultural influences that made up the Penang's fusion cuisine today. Bringing his recipes to life, the author will also perform a cooking demonstration on traditional dishes including Hainanese chicken pie, chicken stew and bubur pulut hitam.
