Sesame will greet the annual festivity with not one, but two sets of eight-course Chinese dinners. Both delicious and equally luxurious, Sesame's first set menu - priced at RM980++ per table - comprises of a Fatt Choy yee sang, braised deep seafood soup, stewed chicken with shiitake mushroom and pacific clam, deep-fried red lion, sauteed prawn with wolfberries and onion, braised limpet abalone, sea moss and dried oyster as well as a steamed glutinous rice before slurping on sweetened pumpkin sago with vanilla ice cream for a sweet finish.
If that was a mouthful to read, Sesame's second set menu - priced at RM1380++ per table - takes it a notch higher with a great fortune yee sang, sea treasures chowder, stewed chicken with red dates, ginseng and king top shell, baked marinated cod fish with yellow mustard and miso, stewed fish maw, dried oyster, sea moss and shiitake mushroom, Singapore-style slow cooked sea prawn as well as steamed glutinous rice. What's for dessert? Sit tight and enjoy a double-boiled Hasma with fragrant pear and deep-friend 'nian gao'. While these menu are as tempting as it gets, early reservation is well-adviced to avoid disappointment.
