It is hard to ignore both strips of the imposing, bright purple signs above the entrance of this eatery. While one sign screams the name of the establishment, the other hollers their lunch specials at RM9.90 that they have daily except on Tuesday when they close.

As its name reveals, the restaurant specialises in yong tau foo but they also serve fried rice, mee hun soup and fried chicken, among other dishes that may complement a bowl of yong tau fu. On their menu, there are individual choices of normal yong tau fu offering such as tau kua, brinjal, bitter gourd, okra and fishballs at between RM3 and RM3.50 per serving of three pieces.

These are not factory made pieces, instead there’s a fresh, homemade flavour and look to their yong tau fu. To make it easier for you, they have sets of yong tau fu enough for two or more people from RM10.90. The soup that drowns the yong tau fu is dressed with a sprinkle of chopped sauteed garlic and is very mild in flavour, piping hot and comforting.

As side orders, we recommend a bowl of their soupy sui kow at RM3 that are generous in pork filling and fresh to boot! Their Golden Fish Sticks that are uniquely crumbed and deep fried at RM3 which are crispy and tasty, will be a big hit with especially children.

To round up the meal, you have a choice of three types of rice and their more popular one is the yellow rice, which does add to the already colourful bowl of yong tau fu! The interior of the place is simple, a level up from a Chinese coffee shop and it is air-conditioned. The service, however, is friendly and efficient. The aunty will certainly serve you with a smile.
