This is not the place to go to without having made prior reservations; weekdays may promise a few empty seats by the bar but it’s a gamble not worth investing on weekends. Its success story is fuelled by a business strategy that has never found a disliking amongst diners- reasonable prices and big portions (although ‘big’ would almost be scoffed at as a gross understatement of the sheer size of its servings), not to mention that it’s one of few German restaurants around. Once and if you’ve secured a seat, remember to try the German butchersplatter, the German pork sausage and the pork knuckles.
