Its comfortable couches on the patio overlooks the Straits Quay marina and it has an open kitchen and bar concept. The interior is modern and cosy, with wooden booths that seat four comfortably. There's also a wide selection of German cuisine with focus on pork dishes, imported draught and bottled beers.
However, it's their Weissbrau-styled pizzas that are unique. Unlike Italian pizzas with tomato based sauce, they have a choice of sour cream and onion base sauce that gives a simpler, creamier flavour that complements their thin, crispy pizza base. It's especially perfect when topped with slices of honey-glazed ham. Pizzas are from RM28++ and you can choose two halves for RM32++.
For a more meaty meal, their large platter of sausages consists of at least five different types of sausages. It's enough for three or four people and a bite of sausage is made even more delicious when dipped into some mustard. The platter comes with a bowl of grilled vegetables too. The platter ranges from around RM70++, depending on the size. A surprising discovery is, their Australian rib eye for RM58++. It's tender, perfectly done to your liking and comes with two side dishes of your choice. Try it with garlic mash and sauerkraut!
Beers range from RM15++ for half a pint of Hoegaarden and RM28++ for a bottle of imported Becks. Their daily happy hours ends at 9pm. In case you're wondering, the name 'Weissbrau' is derived from the German word ‘weiss’ for white and ‘bräu’ for brew, which refers to the white beer common in Germany. Kitty Kaye
