Pik Nik is almost too cool for school but we will forgive its painfully hip aesthetics because we’re huge fans of that sort of thing! Its interior is an eclectic collection of tables and chairs. Heaps of primary-coloured cushions are simply exclamation marks around the place, adding to the already Bohemian and chic ambience. Needless to say this is a place that attracts young Penangites like a moth to a flame.
Menu wise, the place has an easy choice of Western favourites and a lovely drinks menu of coffees, smoothies and juices. Their prices are nett and cater for either small from RM9 or large from RM12 for a drink serving. It's safe to say that their definition of small is rather big. And the coffee smoothie is substantial, creamy and a meal all on its own. While their passionfruit yogurt smoothie has a lovely texture and will very probably give you a brain-freeze, so be warned!
Since their opening hours daily is at 3pm, this may not be a place for lunch but it's definitely a place for meet-ups, dinner, after dinner drinks or simply to sit and read. The smoking section is in an area where they call it as 'garden area' that has very good light and comfy armchairs. Wifi is available too and service is friendly. Su Aziz
