The Last 5 Years

The BOH Cameronian award-winning production comes to Penang for a restage of klpac's 2011 hit 'The Last Five Years'. A local remake of the original musical by Jason Robert Brown, ‘The Last  Five Years’ tells the story of a young couple – Jamie, a rising novelist and Cathy, a struggling actress – who both have to manage the precarious balance of life, love and work. What’s different about ‘The Last Five Years’ is that it has two stories running at the same time; his begins on the day they met, while hers begins at the end of their marriage. The two meet in the middle at the wedding for a shared song, but otherwise tell the individual tales of a relationship  that grows together and then apart.
