Still the most popular bar in the district among the post-1989 generation, the Akropolis is a Žižkov institution of drinking, networking and gig-going. It has four separate pubs on site, each with its own crowd and vibe. The street-level Akropolis restaurant serves cheap and decent food with passable beer; the Kaaba Café is a small, well-lit place to meet up and get a caffeine fix; the Divadelní Bar is a hot, intense vortex of DJ action and surreal woodcarvings; and the Malá Scena is a red-washed chill-out space with a post-industrial look and battered tables. Take your pick.
