The Bohemia was an officially non-existent address under the pre-1989 regime - this is where the Central Committee members lived it up in secret. Nowadays, though, it's an understated, Austrian-run art deco masterpiece that goes quietly about its task of providing top-notch service with Habsburg-like stateliness, and you'd never guess that the hotel's subterranean ballrooms also hosted scandalous Jazz Age excesses. Today's guests are mainly preoccupied with business and the odd moment of serenely gazing down on the city from the upper floors. Children aged up to nine stay free of charge.
