Now partnered with the nearby Metamorphis, the Black Fox pulls off the seemingly impossible feat that's only attempted by a half-dozen competitors: it remains a charming, personable and good-quality hotel with a front door that opens on Old Town Square. The neat rooms offer excellent value; wake to the sound of the Týn bells (and the rumble of tourist traffic), then stumble out for some gallery-hopping, pubbing and clubbing without ever needing to take a taxi. Note: the lifts are tiny.
