Le Palais review
Situated in an idyllic corner of Vinohrady, this beautiful belle époque palace is one of the best insider tips in town. The building was originally decorated by renowned Czech artist Ludêk Mařold in exchange for rent, and many of his original touches remain; check out, in particular, the frescoed ceilings and staircase. Service is excellent, and amenities include a large and well-equipped fitness centre, a fine restaurant, a summer terrace and the newly added Pure Spa. The bedrooms themselves are nicely decorated, but some could still benefit from a bit more renovation.
