A recent development that's operated by the Spanish hotel chain Design Hotels Collection, 987 Prague owes its übercool look and feel to Philippe Starck. It was built as an apartment building in the 19th century; during the renovations, the architects left the outside untouched but let Starck infuse the interior with contemporary brightness. There's a bit of a '70s feel, but it's brought off in a more effective, sleek and comfortable way than many other hotels in Prague have managed. Check the website for deep discounts.
