Small, full of cranky old locals and equally testy staff, At the Golden Tiger was once the second home of Prague's favourite writer, the famously crotchety Bohumil Hrabal. It's lost virtually all its appeal since its famous patron fell to his death from a hospital window in 1997. Tourists still flock here, which may explain why the Pilsner Urquell is no bargain.
