Chez Marcel review 2 Users say 3/5 Rate it

As French as it gets in Prague, Chez Marcel attracts a local crowd drawn by its appealing brass accents, copies of Le Monde and views on to a lovely Old Town square. It also makes the deepest quiche in town, which goes well with the big baskets of crispy fries, dappled with Dijon mustard. By night, it's quieter, but still a good hangout in which to enjoy a glass of burgundy and a long conversation.

Have travelled widely and am a fan of French food, but I found the service horrendous in this restaurant. Waiter was actually mocking me and humiliating me in front of other waiters when my husband was in the toilet! He seems to be a misogynist and was laughing about 'The British Female' (which had to be me as it was pretty empty). I told my husband when he got back and he was not happy so we cancelled our dessert orders and left. Avoid! We came here years ago and it was great, but it has changed hands since. There are plenty of other options in Prague these days.
