DOX centrum současného umêni review

After years in the making, this shiny new centre for contemporary art opened in autumn 2008 under the auspices of programme director Jaroslav Andêl, who once headed the National Gallery's Veletržní Palace. DOX has ambitious plans to present a changing roster of large and smaller exhibitions that will expose local art-lovers to contemporary trends from abroad, placing Czech and international art in direct confrontation and sparking dialogue among artists and disciplines. The complex has stunning renovated industrial spaces as well as newly constructed rooms; amenities include a bookshop, a café and a restaurant.
