One of Prague's best Italian restaurants is located in quiet Vinohrady, mercifully off the tourist radar. Inside, the rough wood and brick interiors bely authoritative kitchen staff, offering fine presentation of everything from the six-seafood antipasti platter to veal on saffron risotto with thyme. There's also a list of excellent wines, fairly priced and drawn from all around the boot.

This restaurant seems to recycle e.g. lemon wedges and feed the customers a mixture of yesterday's and today's mussels, some of which were not cleaner from the outside. Risotto was rather soggy, tasteless and was lacking salt, and the sweetbreads were full of membrane. The pici pasta with ragu and ravioli off the menu was excellent. Waitress was very helpful and liked to demonstrate old fish.
