Belda Jewelry Design review 1 Users say 3/5 Rate it

Belda's history is a long one, and its unique, well-crafted goods are testament to its creativity and style. The small selection includes pieces you won't find anywhere else, with prices to match - but it's a refreshing change from the garnet- and amber-stuffed jewellery stores elsewhere.

Adding Icons to Your Website Design For That Professional Touch

Your website needs to be fast to navigate, often times users will not want to read all the links on your page, and for common elements of the website, like your Blog, RSS Feed, Twitter and Web 2.0 accounts you can use icons for faster navigation.Icons also help us de-clutter already cluttered designs, and fortunately they are easy to add. Most icons you will find online are standard PNG, Jpeg or GIF images. With exception to the "favicon" which is a standard ICO file.It is hard enough to come up with a concept for an icon that you can use on your site, let alone actually creating one in Photoshop. Luckily there are designers out there who put their time and effort into creating icon sets that you can use for free. The best search term I have found is "free icon set" typed into Google without the quotes. What you are looking for is a web designer who has posted a collection of free icon sets to their blog, they do this to attract links to their website. The up shot is that they have already done all the work for you in filtering out the "bad" icon sets and displaying only the good ones. The great thing about this exercise is you will turn up a bunch of new inspirational blogs to follow. Now that you have found some free icon sets that you would like to use, and you have checked the copyright and terms of use policies, it is time to get them on your website. It is best practice to use CSS to position the icons, and there is a great article about how to do just that here: http://www.hunlock.com/blogs/Attach_icons_to_anything_with_CSS.If you are stuck for ideas on what you can add icons to on your website here are a few to get you started.A mail icon next to an email address, RSS Feed Icon next to any feed links you have, Twitter/Facebook/MySpace icon to relevant Web 2.0 Accounts, PDF icons for any PDF downloads you have, same applies to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents. The list goes on. Enough reading, time to get out there, find some icons and beautify your site.
