OK meal, but very overpriced for what was pretty ordinary. A case of hype winning over delivery?

I highly recommend this restaurant. Visited Acorn House on a Saturday lunchtime. It has a really nice relaxed atmosphere and was quiet and sunny on my visit. The service was excellent and the food and fresh fruit juices were absolutely delicious - amongst the best food I've eaten in 2 years in London. The main courses are around £16 but come with filling side salads. The Chef's antipasti (around £9) included some stunning meat and cheeses and the macaroni was very authentic. Will definitely be going back.

Oh dear. What a disappointing (and expensive) experience. I can only think there have been some changes since the Time Out reviewers were there as your reviews are usually very reliable. Dishes arrived not as they were advertised, we were served a more expensive bottle of wine than we had ordered and expected to pay for it and the state of the loos was dreadful.
