i went for a late sunday lunch at the Horseshoe and as i hadn't booked we were told we could wait at the bar - fine, this is a busy place. But, what I was not happy with is that the host was completely incapable of remembering the order that diners arrived in and placed people in no order. So a wait that we were told would be 15 minutes ended up being 30 - and then we walked out when people, who were the same number as our pair were seated. What added insult to injury is the reaction of the host who basic attitude was tough, I made a mistake so what. On pushing for a solution she got angry - needless to say we left and will not return. Either book or give this pretentious establishment a wide berth.

This is a great well price local, lively, reasonable priced with a well-considered food offering. We loved their approach to food sourcing and where else can you find a pub that brews it own beers. Now sit back and enjoy a pint of there refreshing Summer Beer.

We had previously telephoned to ask if they could accommodate a group of mothers and babies with prams on a week day lunchtime. We were informed that this would be no problem at all. However, on arrival we received extremely surly service and were put at the very back of the restaurant out of sight in a space which could not accommodate the prams nor our group. It was clear that we were not welcome and that our presence was aggravating to the staff that day. Given that the rest of the restaurant was practically empty, we were unsure why we received such bad service particularly as we had phoned ahead to check they were able to accommodate us. The moral of the story is while they had nice food - this is not a mother/child friendly place and the staff could be more pleasant to paying customers.
