Review
A group of 7 friends and I decided to reserve a booth for a girls' night out. On arriving at wax, we had to wait for 15 minutes to even speak to a member of staff. Not that the place was busy, there were only a handful of people there!
Despite having been in email communication with the bar, they claimed to have no record of our reservation, and didn't apologise for this.
We were given a tiny table, which we could barely fit around. We placed our food and drinks orders with the grumpy members of staff and waited half an hour for the first plate to arrive. Each dish arrived at ten minute intervals; some cold, others tasteless. The last dish arrived as the other plates were being cleared! We asked to speak to the manager... nobody seemed to know who he was. A barman casually walked past and left a pitcher full of some revolting cocktail on our table as some sort of compensation. No apology was made for the terrible service. Furthermore, none of us were drinking alcohol, so the cocktail remained untouched. Between us all, we spent around £100, but the bar didn't seem to value our custom at all.
We shall never return to Wax bar, and advise people to think twice before going.
