Breakfast @ the "Inn The Park"?
According to "Time out London", the place to be...
That's what I went for, regrettably...
In a nutshell: great location in St James's Park, full English breakfast "ok- not great", service POOR, place worn- needs a revamp.
THEY COULD DO SO MUCH BETTER!!
I went in and asked the waitress where I could have the a la carte breakfast, she showed me to the self- service part of the "Inn". That's how it all started. Eventually, I managed to find the restaurant part of the "Inn" after having to return a cup of tea...
The seats are horrible- you cannot relax in them at all. I do not know about you, but I am a little ataxic in the morning at times.
The food? Yes, I had the full English breakfast. I asked whether it would contain black pudding, it apparently does, although it's not indicated on the menu...
I love hash browns and baked beans for breakfast. If you do as well, forget the "Inn", they do not do it.
The black pudding I got was alright, so was the bacon. The tomato was too al dente, the bread good, as was the tea (I had Earl Grey).
The service? Do not expect too much...
The waitress walked passed by me three times only to ask me at the fourth opportunity whether I had finished. You do get better service in a school canteen.
All in all, bad value for money. I paid £15.95 for a full English and tea...
My tip: if you are looking for the "perfect breakfast", go somewhere else. The "Inn" might be alright for a quick tea to go during cold afternoon walks, but nothing more!
