This hostelry on lively via dei Serpenti has a range of more than 500 wines, with more than 25 available by the glass. But its real speciality is distillati: dozens of fine grappas, whiskies and other strong spirits. In the back room are pretty cast-iron tables, topped with volcanic stone and ceramics. The menu here is strong on Sicilian specialities such as caponata (Sicilian ratatouille) and eggplant parmigiana.

This place is fantastic! The caponata IS delicious! The wines ARE incredible but the owner and the staff are so good to the patrons. A great place to hang out and watch the locals come and go on their bicycles and scooters. Go and have fun!
