This brand new 100-seater art cinema belongs to the Cineteca Nazionale, Italy's national film archive. Named after late, great actor Alberto Sordi, the cinema is dedicated to restored Italian classics by Fellini, Pasolini, Sergio Leone and others, plus the occasional foreign interloper. It shares its basement location with a 400sq m (4,300sq ft) archaeological site based around two ancient Roman insulae (apartment blocks), which can be seen through the glass panels at the side of the main screening room. Closed on Mondays. You can get a ten-ticket deal for €30.
