On a narrow ivy-lined street, this converted convent has been refurbished without losing its charm. An oversized crystal chandelier in the lobby lends a sense of opulence, but details like home-made baked goods and jams for breakfast reflect the homely charm of the place. Rooms run from basic updated cells with small marble bathrooms to more comfortable pastel-hued rooms with hand-painted furnishings to match the frescoes in some parts of the palazzo. Ask for a room overlooking the gardens of Palazzo Spada, or the beautiful Palazzo Farnese. A roof terrace is planned for the near future.
