Despite being ultra-modern and kicking against the trad Trastevere dining scene, Glass Hostaria offers surprisingly warm service, a very interesting wine list, and pan-Italian food that is a lot less pretentious than you might expect. True, there are a couple of kooky novelty numbers like ice lasagna with coal mousse, but other creative melds like the pumpkin gnocchi with taleggio fondue, chestnuts and porcini mushrooms are more persuasive. It's also unexpectedly good value, given the setting and location.
