Rome's biggest and most famous flea market grew out of the city's thriving black market after the end of World War II. A lingering air of illegality still persists, so watch out for pickpockets. Dealers peddle bootleg CDs, furniture, clothes and fake designer gear (as well as car stereos of dubious origin).
