Opened in November 2005, in an $11-million centre on the first three floors of the St Regis Museum Tower, the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) is the world's first museum dedicated to exploring the international impact of the diaspora of African peoples across the globe. Rotating exhibitions highlight the art and culture of the continent, with multimedia exhibits and moving first-person accounts.
